Knorr Photos

Spring 2025, Cecil College Visual Communications Program

Michael Knorr is a photography student whose work is rooted in his enthusiasm for fishing, hiking, and kayaking. After inheriting his late aunt’s Nikon D300, he began photographing in high school and continued at college in Fall 2021, earning a Professional Photography Certificate while pursuing associate degrees in photography and communications. His coursework in drone, studio, and nature/wildlife photography has strengthened his technical skills and creative perspective. During a Spring 2025 internship at the Delaware Nature Society; Michael photographed controlled burns, documenting firefighters’ preparation, ignition, containment, and follow up, with images shared on social media to support conservation initiatives. He is now branching into sports and event photography, drawn to its high energy moments. Using natural light and careful composition, Michael captures scenes like wildlife in their habitats, controlled fires, or athletes in action, aiming to share these with those unable to experience them, encouraging a greater appreciation for nature and human endeavor. After college he plans to continue his photography professionally, aiming to create his own business where he is able sell his photographs in various formats.
