Artist Statement
I am a big fan of James Baldwin. He has amazing writing that has so much meaning and underlying messages. I made this piece to express the analysis that goes into reading James Baldwin’s work. He spared no one from the deeper meanings of his writing. So I scattered some of his famous quotes and made a subtle transparency to share the feeling of him opening his heart and mind to everyone he wrote for.
