What is Cecil Con?
Cecil Con is a public sci-fi, fantasy, anime, and gaming convention run by the Geekdom Club at Cecil College, our gracious host. We have panels, workshops, special guests, artists, vendors, two game rooms, a cosplay photo area and more! Admission is $3, and it’s FREE for Cecil College Students, children under the age of 10 and persons over the age of 55. ID’s will be checked at registration. Come on out and help us celebrate all things geeky!
Cecil Con Art Show
Description: We’re kicking off Cecil Con 2017 with a showcase of sci-fi, fantasy, anime, and gaming related artwork. We’re pleased to invite entries for the Cecil Con Art Show, which will be presented at the Milburn Stone Gallery, located on the Cecil College Main Campus. We’re accepting submissions for 2D or 3D works including but not limited to painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, photography, drawing, digital, etc. All works submitted must be available for the dates specified.
Eligibility: This exhibit is open to all Cecil Con Artists and Vendors, as well as Cecil College students, faculty and staff. All works must be appropriate for all ages. Only works representing the theme and which are available from January 19, 2017 through March 21, 2017 will be considered. All works must be suitably framed, mounted, or otherwise prepared for display in a fine art gallery.
